Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain all official city records, ordinances, resolutions, and minutes
- Oversee municipal election processes and voter registration compliance
- Administer oaths of office and public notary services
- Coordinate City Council meetings agendas, documentation, and public notices
- Ensure compliance with Texas Open Records Act and Sunshine Laws
- Manage city records retention and destruction programs
- Facilitate public records requests and document authentication
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of municipal government or records management experience
- Texas Notary Public certification or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Expert knowledge of Texas election laws and municipal code procedures
- Advanced proficiency in records management systems (e.g., Laserfiche)
- Exceptional attention to detail with zero-error tolerance for legal documents
- Strong communication skills for public interactions and council presentations
