Responsibilities
- Record Management: Oversee the creation, retention, and archiving of official city documents and legislative records.
- Meeting Coordination: Schedule, prepare agendas, and minute-take for City Council and Board meetings.
- Public Records: Process Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests and maintain transparency records.
- Staff Supervision: Lead and mentor a team of administrative clerks and support staff.
- Compliance: Ensure all office procedures adhere to local, state, and federal regulations.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Public Administration or Business preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in municipal government or administrative office management.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, database management systems, and document imaging software.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Attention to Detail: Proven ability to maintain accuracy in high-volume record keeping and data entry.
