We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented City Clerk to support the operations of our municipal government. As a City Clerk, you will serve as the primary point of contact for public records, ensuring the accuracy and accessibility of vital information for our residents. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain official city records, including birth, death, marriage certificates, and property deeds.
- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting the public with inquiries, document requests, and procedural guidance.
- Prepare, edit, and file legal documents, ordinances, and resolutions with strict attention to detail.
- Coordinate with various city departments to ensure the timely exchange of information and data integrity.
- Assist in the preparation of meeting agendas, minutes, and correspondence for the City Council.
- Utilize office automation software and database systems to input and retrieve data efficiently.
- Maintain the security and confidentiality of sensitive municipal information.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in an administrative or clerical role within a government or legal setting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and government document management systems.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
