Responsibilities
- Maintain, organize, and archive official city records, ordinances, and resolutions in strict accordance with legal standards.
- Prepare, distribute, and post meeting agendas, minutes, and official correspondence for the City Council and various Boards.
- Manage incoming public inquiries, correspondence, and Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests with professionalism and efficiency.
- Coordinate logistical support for municipal elections, public hearings, and community events.
- Assist in the preparation and tracking of the city budget and annual financial reports.
- Perform other related duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of the City Clerk’s office.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree in Business Administration, Public Records Management, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in administrative support, records management, or clerical duties within a government or corporate environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and familiarity with database management systems.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with the public and city officials.
