Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain all official city records, including minutes, ordinances, and resolutions with the highest level of accuracy.
- Process and approve a variety of permits, licenses, and applications for city residents and businesses.
- Act as the primary point of contact for the public, providing exceptional customer service and addressing inquiries regarding city procedures.
- Coordinate and prepare official agendas, reports, and correspondence for city council meetings.
- Maintain the City’s database systems, ensuring data integrity and compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Supervise and train staff within the Clerk's office to ensure operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in administrative support, government, or a related office environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience with database management software.
- Strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
