Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain all official city records, including meeting minutes, ordinances, and resolutions, ensuring they are accurate and readily accessible.
- Prepare, post, and distribute official meeting agendas, notices, and packets for City Council and Board meetings.
- Administer the City's election process, including voter registration, candidate filings, and election day operations.
- Respond to public information requests in strict compliance with the California Public Records Act (CPRA).
- Act as the primary liaison for citizens, businesses, and community organizations regarding municipal inquiries.
- Update and maintain the City Code of Ordinances and official publications.
- Supervise and train department staff as needed to ensure operational excellence.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree in Public Administration, Business, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in administrative support, records management, or a related public sector role.
- Thorough knowledge of parliamentary procedures and Robert's Rules of Order.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience with database management software.
- Strong attention to detail with exceptional organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to high ethical standards.
