What You Will Do:
As a City Clerk, you will play a key role in maintaining the integrity of city governance. Your daily activities will include managing official documents, assisting the public with inquiries, and supporting the administrative functions of the department. You will ensure that all records are filed correctly, meeting strict legal and procedural standards.

Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain official municipal records, including meeting minutes, ordinances, resolutions, and contracts with strict confidentiality.
- Act as the primary receptionist and information desk representative, greeting visitors and directing them to the appropriate departments efficiently.
- Process and distribute incoming correspondence, including mail, faxes, and electronic messages, to relevant staff members.
- Prepare and distribute meeting packets, agendas, and public notices for City Council and Board meetings.
- Operate office equipment, including scanners and printers, to digitize physical documents and maintain an electronic archive system.
- Perform data entry tasks to update personnel files, permits, and licensing databases with 100% accuracy.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an administrative or clerical capacity, preferably within a government, legal, or corporate office environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and familiarity with Records Management Systems (RMS).
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with diverse members of the public.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask, prioritize workloads, and meet tight deadlines under pressure.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality regarding sensitive city information.
