Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain official city records, including minutes, ordinances, and resolutions with the highest level of accuracy.
- Prepare, distribute, and archive meeting agendas, packets, and official correspondence for the City Council and Board meetings.
- Provide exceptional customer service to the public, vendors, and city officials by answering inquiries and directing requests appropriately.
- Oversee the daily operations of the clerk’s office, including filing, data entry, and record retrieval.
- Coordinate special events and meetings, ensuring all logistical and technical requirements are met efficiently.
- Verify and process legal documents, maintaining strict adherence to all state and local compliance standards.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required; Associate’s degree or certification in Public Administration is preferred.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in an administrative, clerical, or government office setting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience with database management systems.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to write clear and concise minutes.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain strict confidentiality and manage sensitive information.
