Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain official city records, documents, and archives with meticulous accuracy
- Prepare agendas, minutes, and official documentation for City Council and committee meetings
- Provide administrative support to department heads and elected officials
- Process public records requests in compliance with Texas Public Information Act
- Coordinate logistics for public hearings, community events, and official ceremonies
- Ensure compliance with municipal ordinances and state regulations
- Train staff on records management protocols and document retention policies
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor's degree in Public Administration preferred
- Minimum 2 years of administrative/clerical experience in government or legal setting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, document management systems, and record-keeping software
- Exceptional organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of Texas open records laws and municipal procedures
