Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain official municipal records, documents, and digital archives with meticulous attention to detail
- Process permits, licenses, and applications ensuring compliance with city ordinances and state regulations
- Provide exceptional customer service to residents and businesses via in-person, phone, and digital channels
- Coordinate public meetings, prepare agendas, and maintain accurate minutes for official proceedings
- Utilize specialized municipal software for data entry, reporting, and record management
- Assist with budget tracking, invoice processing, and financial documentation
- Collaborate with department heads to implement administrative policies and procedures
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree in Public Administration preferred
- Minimum 2 years of administrative/clerical experience in government or regulated industry
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and municipal record management systems
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to interpret complex regulations
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities with strict deadlines
- Knowledge of California municipal codes and record retention policies
