Responsibilities
- Record Management: Maintain and organize official city records, files, and documents with the highest level of accuracy and confidentiality.
- Public Assistance: Provide exceptional customer service by answering inquiries, assisting visitors, and directing them to the appropriate departments.
- Data Entry: Process and verify applications, forms, and official correspondence using computer systems and databases.
- Meeting Support: Prepare agendas, take minutes, and support city council meetings and various administrative boards.
- Communication: Draft and distribute memos, letters, and internal communications to ensure clear information flow.
- Compliance: Ensure all clerical duties adhere to city policies, regulations, and legal requirements.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required; Associate’s degree in Business Administration or Public Administration preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of general office experience, preferably within a government or municipal setting.
- Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and basic database management software.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with diverse populations.
- Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize work under deadlines.
