Responsibilities
- Manage incoming inquiries via phone, email, and in-person interactions with professionalism and efficiency.
- Perform high-volume data entry and maintain accurate digital and physical records for various city departments.
- Assist the public with permit applications, license renewals, and general information requests.
- Organize and file municipal documents, ensuring strict adherence to retention schedules.
- Operate standard office equipment including printers, scanners, and multi-line telephones.
- Collaborate with department heads to streamline administrative processes.
- Prepare reports and correspondence as required by supervisors.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Previous experience in an administrative or customer service role is preferred but not always required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) is essential.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including occasional evenings or weekends.
