Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain accurate filing systems for city ordinances, meeting minutes, and official correspondence.
- Process and distribute incoming mail, emails, and inter-departmental communications efficiently.
- Assist visitors and citizens at the service counter, answering inquiries and directing them to the appropriate departments.
- Perform high-volume data entry tasks using government databases and standard office software.
- Prepare, copy, and proofread various documents, reports, and forms with strict attention to detail.
- Ensure the confidentiality and security of sensitive public records and personal information.
- Collaborate with other administrative staff to streamline workflow and improve departmental efficiency.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required; Associate’s degree or administrative certification is a plus.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in clerical, administrative, or customer service roles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and Google Workspace.
- Strong typing skills (minimum 40 WPM) and exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with the public.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Must pass a criminal background check and drug screening prior to employment.
