Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate records, permits, and official documents with meticulous attention to detail
- Process public inquiries and provide exceptional customer service via phone, email, and in-person
- Assist with council meeting preparations, including agenda compilation and minute-taking
- Manage departmental filing systems and digital document databases
- Process financial transactions and maintain budget tracking records
- Coordinate inter-departmental communications and document distribution
- Ensure compliance with Texas state regulations and municipal ordinances
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (associate's degree preferred)
- Minimum 2 years of clerical or administrative experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Excellent organizational skills with ability to prioritize multiple tasks
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
- U.S. citizenship and ability to pass background check
- Valid Texas driver's license (if required for departmental travel)
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities in fast-paced government setting
