Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain official municipal records, permits, and regulatory documents with strict compliance protocols
- Provide direct public assistance via in-person, phone, and digital channels for citizen inquiries and service requests
- Coordinate with city departments (e.g., Planning, Transportation, Finance) for cross-functional documentation workflows
- Prepare and process official correspondence, resolutions, and meeting minutes for City Council and committees
- Implement document retention policies and maintain digital/archival systems according to state/federal regulations
- Support election administration processes including voter registration and ballot management
- Conduct data verification and quality assurance for municipal databases and reporting systems
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Public Administration, Business, or related field (Bachelor's preferred)
- Minimum 2 years experience in municipal/government clerical or administrative support
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) and document management systems
- Strong knowledge of Washington State public records laws and municipal regulations
- Exceptional written/verbal communication skills with demonstrated customer service excellence
- Ability to handle sensitive information with strict confidentiality and ethical standards
- Experience with database management and data entry accuracy (10-key typing required)
- Valid Washington State driver's license (for occasional inter-departmental travel)
