Responsibilities
- Manage the full lifecycle of civil service examinations, including recruitment, testing, and selection processes.
- Ensure strict compliance with the Ohio Revised Code and County personnel policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate and confidential personnel records, logs, and databases within the HRIS system.
- Conduct investigations into employee conduct and prepare comprehensive investigative reports.
- Assist in the development and implementation of county-wide HR training programs and workshops.
- Provide exceptional customer service to job applicants, employees, and external stakeholders.
- Prepare correspondence, memos, and reports for the Civil Service Commission and Department Head.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Human Resources, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in government administration, human resources, or a related field.
- Strong working knowledge of state and local government personnel laws and regulations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with HRIS software (e.g., Workday, PeopleSoft, or SAP).
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
