Responsibilities
- Process and verify complex benefit claims with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Provide exceptional, empathetic customer service to the public, handling enquiries via phone, email, and in-person.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in line with strict government data protection regulations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex cases and ensure timely case resolution.
- Assist in the administration of internal audits and compliance checks.
- Stay updated on changes in government legislation and policy to ensure correct application in daily tasks.
Qualifications
- UK Citizenship: Essential for this Government role.
- Education: GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths (Grade C/4 or above).
- Experience: Proven experience in administrative support, customer service, or a similar role within a public sector or high-volume processing environment.
- IT Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and the ability to learn new internal systems quickly.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex information clearly.
- Compliance: A strong understanding of data privacy and confidentiality standards.
