Responsibilities
- Monitor inmate activities and enforce facility security protocols during overnight hours
- Conduct regular perimeter checks and respond to emergency incidents
- Maintain accurate incident reports and documentation
- Screen visitors and control access points according to state regulations
- Participate in inmate rehabilitation programs and educational initiatives
- Operate security systems including surveillance cameras and control panels
- Collaborate with day shift teams for seamless facility operations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid North Carolina driver's license
- Successfully pass background check and psychological evaluation
- Basic Law Enforcement Training (BLET) certification preferred
- Ability to work independently during overnight shifts
