Responsibilities
- Maintain security protocols and conduct regular patrols during night hours
- Monitor inmate activities and enforce facility regulations
- Respond to emergencies and incidents with appropriate de-escalation techniques
- Complete accurate documentation of shift activities and incidents
- Conduct headcounts and perimeter checks as scheduled
- Assist in emergency response drills and security operations
Qualifications
- Minimum 18 years of age with high school diploma or GED
- Valid Texas driver's license
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Physical ability to handle emergency situations and restrain inmates
- Basic computer skills for reporting systems
- Ability to work rotating shifts including weekends and holidays
- Previous security or law enforcement experience preferred
