Responsibilities
- Monitor inmate activities and enforce facility rules to maintain security and order
- Conduct regular patrols and headcounts to ensure compliance with protocols
- Respond to emergencies and incidents using de-escalation techniques
- Document daily occurrences and maintain accurate logs and reports
- Screen visitors, mail, and packages for contraband
- Participate in training programs to maintain certification and skills
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Valid Indiana driver's license
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Basic computer proficiency for report writing
- Ability to work rotating night shifts (6:00 PM - 6:00 AM)
- Physical ability to stand/walk for extended periods and handle emergency situations
