Responsibilities
- Monitor inmate activities and enforce facility regulations to maintain security and order
- Conduct regular patrols and headcounts in assigned areas
- Respond to emergencies, incidents, and security breaches with appropriate protocols
- Prepare detailed incident reports and maintain accurate documentation
- Screen visitors, mail, and packages to prevent contraband entry
- Transport inmates between facilities and court appearances
- Collaborate with law enforcement teams during emergency operations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (college degree preferred)
- Valid California driver's license
- U.S. citizenship and minimum age of 21
- Ability to pass background check, drug screening, and physical fitness assessment
- Completion of P.O.S.T. certified training (or willingness to complete)
- Strong conflict resolution and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and under pressure in high-stress environments
- Basic computer proficiency for report writing and documentation
