Responsibilities
- Monitor inmate activities and enforce facility protocols during night shift hours
- Conduct regular security rounds and headcounts to maintain order
- Respond to emergencies and incidents with de-escalation techniques
- Document incidents and maintain accurate shift reports
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies during critical operations
- Operate security systems including surveillance equipment and access controls
- Mentor new officers on safety procedures and departmental standards
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (college degree preferred)
- Valid Arizona Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) certification
- Minimum 1 year correctional or law enforcement experience
- Ability to pass rigorous background check and psychological evaluation
- Strong conflict resolution and crisis intervention skills
- Valid Arizona driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to work rotating shifts and respond to emergency call-outs
