Responsibilities
- Monitor inmate activities and enforce facility protocols
- Conduct regular security patrols and headcounts
- Respond to emergencies and incidents with de-escalation techniques
- Maintain accurate logs and incident reports
- Screen visitors and incoming packages per security procedures
- Operate security systems including CCTV and access controls
- Coordinate with law enforcement during emergencies
- Provide crisis intervention and conflict resolution
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (college preferred)
- Valid California Driver's License
- U.S. citizenship or permanent resident status
- Ability to pass background investigation and polygraph
- Basic First Aid/CPR certification (or obtain within 30 days)
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and run 1 mile in under 12 minutes
- Experience in security, military, or law enforcement preferred
- Spanish bilingual skills highly desirable
