Responsibilities
- Monitor inmate activities and enforce institutional rules with firm yet fair authority
- Conduct regular perimeter checks and security rounds using advanced surveillance systems
- Respond to emergencies including medical incidents and behavioral disturbances
- Maintain detailed incident reports and digital documentation using facility management software
- Coordinate with medical, counseling, and administrative staff for inmate welfare programs
- Implement emergency response protocols during critical incidents
- Supervised inmate movement during weekend visitation and recreational activities
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent (college degree preferred)
- Valid Colorado driver's license and clean driving record
- Ability to pass extensive background check and polygraph examination
- Physical fitness certification for restraint techniques and emergency response
- Basic computer proficiency for report writing and surveillance systems
- First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain post-hire)
