Responsibilities
- Lead county-wide strategic planning and operational excellence initiatives
- Manage $1B+ annual budget allocation and fiscal accountability
- Coordinate with 20+ departments (Public Health, Infrastructure, etc.)
- Develop/implement equitable public policies aligned with county goals
- Oversee emergency response systems and crisis management protocols
- Represent county at regional/state government forums
- Lead community engagement initiatives for transparent governance
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Administration or related field
- 8+ years progressive public sector leadership experience
- Proven budget management ($500M+ scale)
- Ohio Public Administrator certification preferred
- Expertise in cross-departmental collaboration frameworks
- Strong policy analysis and legislative advocacy skills
- Emergency management certification (FEMA PMP or equivalent)
