Responsibilities
- Process and maintain court documents, filings, and case records with meticulous accuracy
- Assist attorneys, litigants, and the public with court procedures and information requests
- Manage scheduling for court appearances and hearings while coordinating with judicial staff
- Prepare and distribute official court orders, notices, and correspondence
- Operate case management systems and maintain electronic/digital filing databases
- Collect fees, fines, and payments while maintaining financial transaction records
- Provide administrative support to judges and court administrators as needed
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree in paralegal studies or related field preferred
- Minimum 2 years of administrative or clerical experience in legal/government setting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal case management software
- Exceptional attention to detail with proven ability to handle confidential information
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for diverse stakeholder interactions
- Ability to work independently while maintaining collaborative team dynamics
- Knowledge of Maryland court procedures and legal terminology highly desirable
- Flexibility to work occasional evenings/weekends as required by court calendar
