Responsibilities
- Receive, organize, and file legal documents and case files with the highest level of accuracy and confidentiality.
- Process court fees, fines, and payments using our integrated financial management systems.
- Communicate professionally with court officials, attorneys, litigants, and the general public regarding case status and procedures.
- Maintain accurate digital and physical records to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Assist the public with navigating court procedures, interpreting forms, and accessing public records.
- Prepare dockets, schedule hearings, and issue summons as directed by judicial officers.
- Ensure the courtroom is organized and that all necessary supplies are available before proceedings begin.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required; Associate's degree or prior clerical experience is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and court management software.
- Strong attention to detail with exceptional organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Must successfully pass a background check and drug screen.
