Responsibilities
- Inspect travelers and cargo at international ports of entry
- Enforce U.S. immigration and customs laws
- Operate advanced detection equipment (X-rays, scanners)
- Conduct interviews and investigations
- Document and report suspicious activities
- Collaborate with federal agencies (FBI, DEA, ICE)
- Maintain accurate records and case documentation
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship and valid driver's license
- 3+ years of law enforcement or security experience
- Pass background investigation and polygraph
- Ability to obtain CBP Officer certification
- Fluency in English (Spanish proficiency preferred)
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights/holidays
- Pass physical fitness assessment
- Strong decision-making under pressure
