Responsibilities
- Develop and implement enterprise-level cybersecurity strategies and policies
- Conduct penetration testing and vulnerability assessments on federal systems
- Monitor security operations center (SOC) alerts and respond to incidents
- Lead incident response coordination during cybersecurity breaches
- Ensure compliance with NIST, FISMA, and other federal security standards
- Train staff on cybersecurity best practices and protocols
- Collaborate with IT teams to integrate security into system architectures
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in federal cybersecurity operations
- Active CISSP or Security+ certification (or equivalent)
- Expert knowledge of NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF)
- Experience with SIEM tools (Splunk, ArcSight) and IDS/IPS systems
- Secret security clearance (Top Secret eligibility required)
- Proficiency in cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP) and network architecture
