Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain robust network security systems to protect classified data and critical infrastructure
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on DoD networks using industry-standard tools
- Monitor security operations center (SOC) alerts and respond to cybersecurity incidents with incident response protocols
- Develop comprehensive security documentation including risk assessments, incident reports, and compliance frameworks
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security measures into system architectures
- Stay current with emerging threats and technologies through continuous professional development
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 3 years of experience in network security or information assurance
- Active Security+ CE or CISSP certification (DoD 8570 compliance)
- Proficiency in SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) and vulnerability scanners
- Knowledge of NIST frameworks, FISMA compliance, and DoD directives
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail in high-pressure situations
