Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain advanced cybersecurity protocols across federal networks
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on critical infrastructure
- Monitor security operations center (SOC) alerts and respond to incidents within SLA requirements
- Develop and document security policies compliant with NIST and FISMA standards
- Coordinate with federal agencies on threat intelligence sharing and incident response
- Mentor junior security staff and conduct cybersecurity awareness training
- Manage security toolsets including SIEM, EDR, and identity access management systems
Qualifications
- Active Secret security clearance (or ability to obtain)
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field
- 5+ years experience in enterprise security operations
- CompTIA Security+ and CISSP or equivalent certifications
- Proficiency in threat detection tools (Splunk, CrowdStrike, Palo Alto)
- Experience with federal compliance frameworks (FISMA, NIST SP 800-53)
- Strong knowledge of network architecture and cloud security (AWS/Azure)
- Excellent analytical and incident response capabilities
