Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repair on municipal infrastructure, including roads, sidewalks, and public buildings.
- Operate heavy machinery and equipment safely and efficiently, including dump trucks, backhoes, and pavement breakers.
- Conduct regular inspections of public works facilities to identify potential issues and implement preventive maintenance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute large-scale city improvement projects.
- Ensure strict adherence to all local, state, and federal safety regulations and OSHA guidelines.
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests and public inquiries with professionalism and urgency.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Valid Colorado Class C Driver's License with a good driving record.
- Physical ability to perform strenuous labor, including lifting heavy objects and working in various weather conditions.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in public works, construction, or general maintenance.
- Familiarity with basic hand and power tools is highly preferred.
- Ability to read blueprints and technical schematics.
