Responsibilities
- Oversee the maintenance and archiving of official city records, ordinances, and resolutions.
- Manage the preparation and distribution of meeting agendas and minutes for the Board of Commissioners.
- Facilitate the city's public information requests in compliance with the Tennessee Public Records Act.
- Assist with the administration of municipal elections and voter registration activities.
- Provide high-level customer service and support to citizens, vendors, and city staff regarding administrative inquiries.
- Coordinate logistics for mayoral and council meetings, including room scheduling and audio-visual support.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's degree in Public Administration or Business preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in municipal government, clerical, or administrative support roles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and government-specific software.
- Strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to complex regulatory guidelines.
