Key Responsibilities
- Greet and assist customers efficiently, ensuring a positive experience at the counter and over the phone.
- Process driver's license applications, renewals, and commercial vehicle registrations accurately.
- Verify customer identities and review documentation for compliance with state regulations.
- Operate computer terminals to update records, issue receipts, and process payments.
- Resolve customer complaints and escalations with patience and professionalism.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and secure work environment.
- Collaborate with team members to streamline workflows and reduce wait times.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in customer service, administrative support, or government services preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and data entry systems.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation for occasional office travel.
- Ability to obtain a NYS Security Clearance if required.
