Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive emergency response plans for natural disasters and public health crises
- Coordinate with federal, state, and local agencies during disaster response operations
- Train county staff and community volunteers in emergency protocols
- Manage grant applications and compliance for FEMA funding programs
- Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability analyses for critical infrastructure
- Lead public awareness campaigns about disaster preparedness
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Emergency Management, Public Administration, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in disaster response or emergency services
- FEMC certification or equivalent emergency management credential
- Proven ability to manage complex multi-agency projects
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Valid Colorado driver's license
- Ability to work extended hours during emergencies
