Responsibilities
- Coordinate emergency response operations during natural disasters and public safety incidents
- Liaise with federal, state, and local agencies including FEMA and KYEM
- Maintain real-time situational awareness through GIS mapping systems
- Develop and implement emergency evacuation protocols for high-risk areas
- Conduct public safety briefings and community outreach programs
- Manage emergency supply chain logistics and resource allocation
- Prepare post-incident reports and improvement recommendations
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years emergency management or government public safety experience
- Valid Kentucky driver's license with clean record
- FEMA NIMS/ICS certification required
- Proficiency in GIS mapping software (ArcGIS preferred)
- Ability to work rotating shifts including 24/7 emergency deployments
- Strong crisis communication and decision-making skills
- Bachelor's degree in Emergency Management, Public Administration, or related field
- Must pass federal background check and drug screening
