Responsibilities
- Respond to emergency calls and provide critical public safety services
- Enforce municipal ordinances and state regulations with professionalism
- Conduct patrols and proactive community engagement initiatives
- Prepare detailed incident reports and maintain accurate documentation
- Collaborate with federal/state/local agencies during emergency operations
- Utilize advanced communication systems for rapid response coordination
- Participate in continuous training programs for skill development
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (college degree preferred)
- Valid Virginia driver's license and clean driving record
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 6 months of hire
- Ability to obtain Virginia Public Safety Officer certification
- U.S. citizenship and ability to pass federal background check
- Strong communication skills and conflict resolution abilities
- Physical fitness to meet departmental performance standards
- Experience in emergency services or public safety highly valued
