Responsibilities
- Manage incoming correspondence, emails, and phone calls with professionalism and efficiency.
- Organize and maintain accurate physical and digital filing systems for department records.
- Perform routine data entry tasks and generate basic reports using Microsoft Office Suite.
- Assist the public and city staff with inquiries regarding department services and procedures.
- Prepare meeting agendas, take minutes, and support staff during departmental meetings.
- Ensure compliance with all city policies, regulations, and safety protocols.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; some college coursework in Public Administration or Business is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with diverse populations.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Valid driver's license is preferred but not always required.
