Responsibilities
- Support Office Operations: Perform a variety of clerical and administrative duties to ensure the smooth, efficient functioning of the federal office environment.
- Record Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic and physical filing systems in strict compliance with federal regulations and data privacy standards.
- Communication Hub: Answer incoming calls and greet visitors professionally, directing inquiries to the appropriate personnel with courtesy.
- Correspondence Management: Draft, proofread, and distribute emails and memos; assist in preparing official government correspondence and reports.
- Data Entry: Input and update data into federal databases and internal systems with a high degree of accuracy and strict confidentiality.
- Meeting Coordination: Schedule and organize internal meetings, prepare agendas, and take minutes as required.
- Inventory Control: Assist in the tracking and ordering of office supplies and equipment for the department.
Qualifications
- Citizenship Requirement: Must be a U.S. Citizen to apply for federal positions.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree or higher preferred but not mandatory for entry-level candidates.
- Computer Proficiency: Basic to intermediate skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and ability to learn federal computer systems quickly.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with all levels of staff and the public.
- Background Check: Ability to successfully pass a federal background investigation, drug screen, and security clearance check.
