Responsibilities
- Assist in the intake, review, and processing of federal pension and retirement applications from the public.
- Verify the accuracy of beneficiary information and retirement data using established federal guidelines.
- Communicate with applicants via phone and email to resolve inquiries regarding pension status and benefits.
- Enter and maintain sensitive employee and beneficiary data in secure federal databases with a high degree of accuracy.
- Identify discrepancies in paperwork and route complex cases to senior specialists for review.
- Participate in ongoing training regarding federal retirement laws and procedural updates.
- Support the team in organizing physical and digital files related to historical pension plans.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required. Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or Public Administration is a plus but not mandatory.
- Experience: No prior experience required. We value attitude and aptitude over history.
- Skills: Strong basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Office Suite) and typing speed (minimum 40 WPM).
