Responsibilities
- Customer Service: Handle incoming inquiries via phone, email, and face-to-face, providing accurate information regarding government services and policies.
- Data Management: Maintain and update accurate records in our internal databases, ensuring strict adherence to data protection regulations.
- Document Processing: Review, file, and process incoming applications and correspondence efficiently and accurately.
- Administrative Support: Assist senior staff with scheduling meetings, preparing briefing papers, and organizing departmental events.
- Compliance: Ensure all work complies with relevant government protocols, legislation, and internal procedures.
- Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to achieve departmental goals and improve service delivery.
Qualifications
- Education: GCSEs in English and Maths (Grade C/4 or above) or equivalent functional skills qualification.
- Experience: Previous experience in an administrative or customer service role is preferred but not essential for entry-level candidates.
- Skills: Strong IT proficiency, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex information clearly.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
