Responsibilities
- Administrative Support: Perform general clerical duties including filing, photocopying, and data entry with a high degree of accuracy.
- Record Management: Maintain and organize physical and digital filing systems to ensure easy access to public records.
- Customer Service: Greet visitors, answer phones, and direct inquiries to the appropriate department or staff member.
- Correspondence: Process incoming mail, prepare outgoing packages, and draft basic responses to constituent concerns.
- Office Coordination: Assist in scheduling meetings, arranging conference rooms, and maintaining office supplies.
- Compliance: Adhere to all city policies and procedures regarding data privacy and office conduct.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree or certification in Office Administration is a plus but not mandatory.
- Experience: No prior government or professional work experience is required. We value potential and willingness to learn.
- Skills: Basic computer literacy (Microsoft Office Suite, email, and internet navigation).
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with the public and staff.
