Responsibilities
- Process incoming and outgoing mail, documents, and packages with a high degree of accuracy.
- Maintain and update digital and physical filing systems for city records.
- Greet and assist visitors, vendors, and employees in a professional and courteous manner.
- Perform basic data entry tasks using Microsoft Office Suite and specialized government databases.
- Answer and direct telephone calls to appropriate departments efficiently.
- Prepare routine correspondence, reports, and memos as directed by supervisors.
- Assist in the coordination of office supplies and inventory management.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required; some college coursework is a plus.
- Previous experience in an administrative or clerical role is preferred but not mandatory for entry-level candidates.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and basic computer navigation.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain confidential information.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or possess valid legal authorization to work in the United States.
