Responsibilities
- Process Applications: Assist the public with the intake and processing of applications for state programs and benefits.
- Data Management: Enter and verify data into secure government databases with high accuracy.
- Customer Service: Answer incoming phone inquiries and direct visitors to the appropriate departments professionally.
- Record Keeping: Maintain organized, confidential, and up-to-date filing systems for both digital and physical records.
- Administrative Support: Perform general clerical duties such as scanning, copying, and preparing correspondence.
- Compliance: Ensure all procedures adhere to state and federal regulations and agency policies.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- Experience: No prior government experience is required. Previous clerical or customer service experience is a plus but not mandatory.
- Skills: Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) is preferred.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with diverse populations.
- Integrity: Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and demonstrate a high level of professionalism.
- Background: Must be able to pass a standard background check and drug screening.
