Responsibilities
- Manage Communications: Receive, screen, and direct incoming calls and emails to appropriate city departments.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date digital and physical filing systems for city records.
- Constituent Support: Assist residents with general inquiries regarding city services, permits, and ordinances.
- Data Entry: Process forms, reports, and other administrative documents with high attention to detail and data accuracy.
- Office Coordination: Support the daily operations of the administrative office, including scheduling meetings and preparing meeting packets.
- Compliance: Ensure all administrative processes adhere to local, state, and federal government regulations.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration or a related field is a plus.
- Experience: No prior government experience required; basic office experience is preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and ability to learn new government software quickly.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a professional demeanor.
- Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
- Availability: Ability to work full-time hours, including occasional evening or weekend shifts as needed.
