Responsibilities
- Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical support to federal employees and veterans accessing VA systems.
- Assist in the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of hardware, software, and network devices.
- Document technical issues, resolutions, and system configurations in the central Federal IT database.
- Collaborate with senior systems administrators to maintain data integrity and security protocols.
- Participate in regular training sessions to stay updated on federal cybersecurity standards and IT best practices.
- Monitor system performance and report anomalies to the network operations center.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field from an accredited university.
- Or, a combination of education and specialized experience equivalent to the GS-4 level.
- Basic knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems (Windows/Linux), and network connectivity.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust background clearance.
- Willingness to adhere to federal regulations and security policies.
