Responsibilities
- Provide first-level technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network issues via phone, email, and in-person.
- Assist in the setup, configuration, and maintenance of desktop computers, printers, and mobile devices for state employees.
- Monitor and report system performance, ensuring compliance with state cybersecurity standards.
- Manage software installations, updates, and license compliance for internal systems.
- Collaborate with senior IT staff to document technical procedures and create user guides.
- Respond to help desk tickets in a timely and professional manner.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred.
- Basic understanding of computer hardware, operating systems (Windows), and office software.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
