Responsibilities
- Process and verify pension benefit applications and claims in accordance with established government regulations.
- Conduct detailed data entry and analysis of member records to ensure 100% accuracy.
- Assist in the preparation of reports and documentation required for internal audits and compliance reviews.
- Communicate professionally with members, retirees, and stakeholders via phone and email to resolve inquiries and provide status updates.
- Support the team in interpreting complex pension policies and procedures to ensure consistent application.
- Maintain organized filing systems for both digital and physical records.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to detect errors in data entry and documentation.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel (pivot tables and formulas are a plus).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a customer-service mindset.
- Understanding of government ethics and a commitment to public service.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
