Responsibilities
- Ensure adherence to federal regulations (VA, OMB, and DoD) across program operations
- Conduct comprehensive compliance audits and risk assessments quarterly
- Develop and implement corrective action plans for regulatory gaps
- Coordinate with legal teams on policy interpretations and updates
- Maintain meticulous documentation of compliance activities in federal systems
- Train staff on new regulatory requirements and best practices
- Report findings to senior leadership and congressional oversight committees
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Law, or related field
- 5+ years experience in federal regulatory compliance
- Active Secret security clearance (or ability to obtain)
- Proficiency with VA's VISTA system and federal reporting tools
- Expert knowledge of 38 CFR and FAR regulations
- Certified Federal Compliance Officer (CFCO) preferred
- Demonstrated success in managing cross-agency initiatives
- Exceptional analytical and written communication skills
