Responsibilities
- Member Support: Respond to inquiries from current and prospective members regarding pension benefits, eligibility, and retirement calculations.
- Data Analysis: Process and verify retirement applications and contribution records with high accuracy.
- System Maintenance: Assist in maintaining and updating pension plan databases and financial records within the state system.
- Compliance: Ensure all pension processing adheres to state regulations and federal guidelines.
- Report Generation: Prepare basic financial reports and summaries for management review.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with senior analysts and HR departments to resolve complex member issues.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, or a related field (or equivalent work experience in a government setting).
- Attention to Detail: Demonstrated ability to work with complex data and ensure 100% accuracy in record-keeping.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial concepts to the public.
